Sabat Nadia Volodymyrivna

Sabat Nadia Volodymyrivna was born on October 22, 1969 in Bokiv village, Berezhany district, Ternopil region.

In 1988, she graduated from Chortkiv Pedagogical School with honour with the speciality in Primary School Teacher. In 1993, she graduated from V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University with the major in Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education, qualification of specialist of primary school teacher, diploma with honour КЛ 901302. During 1995–1998 she studied in the graduate school (full-time form) of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In December 1998, she successfully protected her PhD thesis on the topic: National Upbringing of the Student Youth of Galicia (1869-1914) in the speciality 13.00.01 – Theory and History of Pedagogy (diploma ДК No. 003363, 1999). Academic Advisor – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Stuparyk B. M. In 2008, she was awarded with the rank of Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy (Certificate 12 ДЦ № 021730).

Employment. From 1988 till 1995, she worked as a Senior Pioneer Leader, an Primary School Teacher at Bokiv Eight-year School. She worked as an Assistant, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor at the Department of History of Pedagogy (1999-2005). Since 2005 she has been working as an Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy (since 2013 – Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work) of State Higher Educational Establishment Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Academic activities. She is the author of more than 100 scientific publications in the Ukrainian and foreign editions, of which 1 monograph, 8 educational and methodical manuals.

Scientific traineeships. Department of General and Social Pedagogy of I. Franko Lviv National University (from April 1 till April 30, 2004).

Department of General and Social Pedagogy of I. Franko Lviv National University (from November 30 till December 30, 2009).

Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Cherkasy National University (from November 17 till December 17, 2014).

Teaching and learning activities. She has developed and now she teaches the following educational courses: “Contemporary topics of Social Work and Social Pedagogy”, “Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Educational Establishments and Higher Schools”, “Technologies of Social and Pedagogical Activity”, “History of Social Work”, “Theory of Social Work”.

She performed the duties of chairperson/ member of the subject attesting committee for obtaining educational and qualification degree of Specialist/Master.

She runs the student scientific circle “Social Pedagogy in Names” and the problem group “Topical Problems of Social Work”. Every year she prepares the students to participate in reporting scientific conferences and All-Ukrainian competitions in social pedagogy and social work.

She holds the career guidance with graduates of secondary schools and colleges.

Authorization. Responsible for the scientific work of the teachers of the department. Responsible for the preparation and holding of the First Stage of All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Social Pedagogy and Social Work. Member of the Scientific and Methodological Board of the Pedagogical Faculty at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Scientific interests: social pedagogy, social work, history of social work, current problems of social pedagogy and social work.
